Short Course 4:  Bringing the Military into the Political Science Curriculum

The morning session will involve a simulation similar to those used by the military in planning exercises.  
 
The afternoon session will be divided into two sections.  The first will consist of presentations on several
critical subjects in the form of modules that can be used by instructors in courses they are already
teaching.  Topics will include:  Military Culture and Mission, Civil-Military Relations, Military Reach
and Capacity and Current Issues.  
 
The second section will involve a roundtable with faculty already teaching such courses and the
distribution of syllabi already being used by those faculty and others.
